Your heart is the size of your fist. It resides just to the left of the centre of your chest.

It pumps blood to every cell of your body, giving them the oxygen and nutrients they need to stay alive and healthy.

Once your cells have used the oxygen from your blood, they produce carbon dioxide and other waste that your blood then carries away thanks to your beating heart. How's that for smart?
